Recommendations for Scott

Wow! Every time I listen to Scott Kimbro I’m amazed at how much I learn. Scott has a natural ability to craft and tell entertaining stories that help you remember the principles and concepts he’s teaching. When he’s done you’re asking yourself, “Is it over already?” Great speaker. Great teacher. Great storyteller.

Hope you do not mind my sharing a few thoughts as I read your book.

So, this morning I was curled up in my bed with a boring senseless movie on the television, the home phone and my cell phone next to me, my doggy cuddling up beside me while reading more of your book on my iPad. When I came upon your section about the distractions media brings I realized that I use senseless media to escape, to ignore what is in front of me, to keep from some kind of panic within. Sadly I am so entrenched in this habit that even when I feel the inner urgencies to get up and do something towards the betterment of my life, I FORCE myself to watch movies and spend hours playing mindless games on my iPad or phone!

Instinctively I have known this habit has developed over the last five years and I know I hate it but I have kept on doing it and actually despise myself for it and have felt trapped.

Now I have turned off the TV, moved to the kitchen table and I have begun to write in my journal in a very quiet house. My three new goals and believe I can follow through.

Write daily for it grounds me.
Take walks by myself and with my girls without any ear buds or texting.
Leave my TV off.

This is a good thing.

Thank you, I really needed your book.
